3320 Dance Festival is designed to showcase the choreographic depth and varied aesthetics of Chicago’s dance community highlighting experienced choreographers within the intimate setting of Dovetail Studio’s Garage Space.
The second annual 3320 Dance Festival will feature original work and performances by a cross section of some of Chicago's most prolific dancemakers including, Damon Green, Ishti Collective, Litebulb, Joseph Ravens, Same Planet Performance Project, Jackie Stewart and Zephyr Dance.
Ishti Collective will present Seen/Unseen which asks the question what remains unseen in this labor of love? The ensemble work looks at the duality between duty and desire, expectation and choice, presence and absence. Drawn from personal and collective experiences—mothering, caregiving, community organizing, gardening, amongst others, Unseen explores how care moves through the body in gestures, stillness, touch, and quiet effort.
Ishti Collective will be joined on stage by Same Planet Performance Project, Zephyr Dance and The Era Footwork Crew.
